Again, Before I leave.

Ok. Forgot some stuff.
For those of you who don't know what I am doing you can check out the Hudson Hub from today. 7/15. The web site is http://www.hudsonhubtimes.com/ It is the first article. ON THE COVER!! WOOOOO!!!

I will also give you a basic run down of the ride right here:

Route: We ride from Anaheim (we leave just after the general convention of the Episcopal Church) to New York City. We leave Anaheim and head north to the Vegas area. Then straight east across northern Colorado and such. We will travel diagonally across Ohio and then straight east to the melting pot.
Riders: There are 8 riders. Four are Episcopal church clergy, one is the Bishop of the Diocese of Northern Ohio, and three are lay riders including myself. All are Ohioans of course.
Format: It will be a 24 hour relay so someone will always be riding. We will probably ride in teams of 2 or 3 and take shifts. We have an RV to sleep in and shower in, and a sag (support and gear)vehicle to aid riders with food and tools. The shift length will vary depending on the terrain and weather. We will obviously need more rest when climbing the Rockies than when cruisin across the salt flats.
Goal: Our goal is to complete the cross country ride in 8 to 10 days. In addition, we are raising money (specifically $100,000) for the ERD (Episcopal Relief and Development) fund. The money is going to buy Malaria nets for sub Saharan Africa. Each net cost 5 Dollars and can protect a family for more than 3 years. That means we are protecting 20,000 families for 3 years! If you are interested in contributing to the ERD in honor of our ride, please make a contribution to "Christ Church Hudson" and we will total the money and send the ERD a sum check. If you would rather you can make a contribution at www.er-d.org or by sending a check to Episcopal Relief and Development, 815 Second
Avenue, New York, NY 10017.
Please be certain to designate donations in honor of the Diocese of Ohio bikers.

Thank you for your support!!!!
